Name:
Ashblaze
Age:
Thirty Moons
Rank:
Deputy?
Gender:
Tom
Clan:
ShadowClan
Personality:
Ashblaze is a no-nonsense cat with a short-temper. He can't tolerate any misconducts in the Clan, and sometimes punishes too quickly without consulting Adderstar when his orders to patrol...or anything...is disobeyed. Even though he may not be the best cat to get along with, Ashblaze is 110% loyal to ShadowClan and is fairly respected with his rank as deputy. The tom, not the most handsome, isn't very interested in settling down with a mate, however, when he finds the 'perfect' she-cat he will put his life on hold for her. But sadly, that she-cat just hasn't appeared in his life yet.
Description:
This tom blends in with shadows: he has a dark-gray pelt that is not pure black, but close anyways. His fur is slightly tangled, he doesn't care much on how he appears to others. His job in life is not to impress she-cats, but to rather live life one day at a time.
His eyes are a dark, smoky shade of topaz, almost golden, but more foggy if you stare at him eye-to-eye. (NOTE: Don't try that, she-cats!) They sharpen dynamically when Ashblaze's angry, but sparkle softly when he's in a better mood.
History:
Ashblaze's family are highly bred when it comes to rank....in good and bad ways. His father was former Clan leader Stonestar, but his mother was former medicine cat Applefern. Stonestar managed to keep his relationship with the young medicine cat a secret; he included his childhood crush Berryleaf in his charade to keep Ashblaze's true birthright a secret. Berryleaf agreed to take Ashblaze under her wing, and Stonestar warmed up to the she-cat again and tossed Applefern out of his life. Ashblaze grew up thinking that Berryleaf was his mother and Stonestar was his father.
As a kit, Ashblaze was pessimistic, seeing the darker side to things rather than the happy endings. He didn't have many friends, but the few he had he was very true to. Ashblaze's best friend, however, was a pretty she-kit named Hawkkit, who had glossy caramel fur and sweet green eyes.
When Ashblaze became an apprentice, he was mentored by Applefern's brother Thornwhisker. Oddly, Thornwhisker didn't seem to like Ashblaze. (Thornwhisker knew Ashblaze's true mother and really didn't like it, but kept it a secret for his sister's sake.) But Ashblaze trained hard anyway.
During this time, his friendship with Hawkkit, now Hawkpaw, morphed into a very large crush. However, his feelings were...well, crushed....when Hawkpaw fell for Ashblaze's only other friend, a happy-go-lucky tom, Webpaw. Ashblaze avoided the path as a mate ever since, and will only warm up to she-cats once he finds a she-cat perfect for him.
Along with Hawkrose and Webpelt, Ashblaze became a warrior at fifteen moons. His warriorhood lasted thirteen moons, during this time he trained his one-and-only apprentice (so far...), Rubypaw, an energetic dark-ginger she-cat. Rubypaw was an easy-to-train apprentice, and Ashblaze was very proud of himself -- and Rubypaw -- when she became a warrior by the name of Rubyheart.
Later, Ashblaze's father Stonestar decided to retire (He was nearing seventy moons, and wasn't doing very well in health) and his deputy became the Clan leader. Ashblaze was surprised when he was nominated as deputy, but thinks he only was because of his father's rank so he tries twice as hard to do well. However, he frequently slips up with his unruly temper. That doesn't matter, Ashblaze is determinded to prove to ShadowClan that he became deputy because of who he was, not who his father was.
